The application of Pre-Paid Cash Card for Consumers

Prepaid cash card looks like credit and debits cards and they offer the same ability to purchase goods and services but you can only spend the balance that you have preloaded onto the card. That’s mean there is no risk of running into debts as it has no credit or overdraft facility. That’s the difference between prepaid cash card and credit or debit cards.

A Pin number will be given to consumers when purchased and once the money has been credited, it can be used as a credit or debit card. Money can be loaded onto a prepaid card by cash at bank, post office, at Payzone or Paypoint terminals or via a bank transfer. However, not all prepaid providers offer all of these loading options, so consumers need to bear this in mind when comparing deals as some are more flexible than others.

By using prepaid cash card, there are a lot of advantages. The main advantages of prepaid cards include:

· Availability - there are no credit checks, which means you can get a card without worrying about your credit history. All prepaid card providers will carry out an identity check to confirm you are who you say you are.

· Control - prepaid cards are an ideal way to budget for yourself or help to manage your children's spending. Like a credit card you get a full breakdown of spending on the card so you can see what has been purchased, who from and when.

· No debt risk - with a prepaid card there is no chance of spending too much as you are limited to the amount you put on your card.

· The card for travel – prepaid cards are a good option if you are going overseas. They are popular with students heading off on gap years and children who go abroad on school trips as parents can load them up here in the UK. However, the benefits are not restricted solely to young travellers - any holidaymaker can take advantage: prepaid cards offer a good alternative to travellers' cheques.

The myGovernment Portal (http://www.gov.my/) acts as the one-stop source of Malaysian government information and services for the citizens.

The recent survey about e-government adoption in Malaysia, which was done by market information group TNS, indicated that the e-government use is growing but at a slow pace. As shown in the study, about 15% of Malaysians have used the internet to access online government services in year 2003 compared to 12% in year 2002. In the survey, Malaysia’s ranking is 25th out of 32 countries in terms of e-government usage growth. Moreover, the service quality should be competitive with the other developed country in terms of speed, problem serving approach, and ease of use of the website. This is important as it provide and encourage long-term users to use the website frequently and cut-off paper work when the payment process can be made through online.

Lastly, the government should do more advertising through radio and tv, and organising workshop in a strategic location in order to create awareness and convenience for problem solving as they are full-focus in providing the best services to its citizens.

Next, we would like to introduce the revenue model of the 3 popular websites which provide e-commerce services. There are Google.Com, Amazon.Com, and eBay.com.

Google’s Revenue Model
The main income of Google.com is generated by the advertising revenue model. Google advertising revenue model includes Google AdWords, Google AdSense and Froogle.Google AdWords is a pay per click advertising program of Google designed to allow the advertisers to present advertisement to people are looking for information related to what the advertiser has to offer. When a user searches Google search engine, ads for relevant words would shown on the screen. Google generate most of the revenue from Google AdWords.
Google AdSense is an ad serving program. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image and, video advertisements on their sites. Mostly the revenue is generated on a per-click or per-thousand-ads-displayed basis and the ads administered by Google.

Example of an E-Commerce Failure and Its Causes

An example of ecommerce failure is Nike shoe company. Nike's move to switch to flash for its e-commerce site is a break from traditional methods, with most companies relying on the more straightforward HTML, AdWeek writes. R/GA explained that by switching to flash, Nike is able to improve both user experience and the purchase process by adding a persistent shopping cart, which wouldn't be possible with standard html.

The Flash-based NikeStore.com will replace the seven-year-old NikeTown.com and will carry the same 30,000 pieces of apparel and footwear items as its predecessor.

Forrester Research analyst Peter Kim pointed to increased adoption of broadband and 97 percent consumer penetration rate of Flash in rationalizing the move. "If you tried to do this back in 2000, you'd be dead in the water," he noted to AdWeek. However, in recent years, failing to handle the orders flushed into its website, the company totally lost track of thousands of orders or failed to deliver them on time. The federal commission fined Nike $350000.

The causes of the e-commerce failure-I think part of the problem is when the big company jump into the e-commerce system, they forget some common factors that will affect their company during the holidays. Shipping product takes man power and during the holiday season, it tends to slow the process down simply by the sheer volume of orders of the mail service industry receives in that short period of time. Frankly, not all the companies have the capitol to invest in such a large expansion, if they are going into the e-commerce industry, they can't afford not to put in that investment.

Another failure causes is delivery the stock to customer is not on time. As we should know that, getting customer to the site is one thing, while delivering is another thing. Bricks and mortar retailers have no such problems. Failure to deliver the ordered stock on time to customers and displeased the consumer

My Introduction....Mr. Lim Kok Wei

I am Kok Wei, from BAC Y3S1,G13...Well i think more than 10 years i didn't write introduction of myself. Last time i wrote my introduction maybe only 150 words(primary school), but that's 10 years ago...After 10 years, there were a lot of things had changed and a lot of experience i gained in these 10 years. Well, let me simply introduce myself...

I am a Sabahan, borned in my lovely town, Tawau and had my 12 years in my hometown, Semporna. Maybe need to specify something...Semporna is under area of Tawau. I finished my primary school life at Semporna and then move to Tawau to continue my secondary school life. When i was holiday i will back to my hometown and look after my father's business. In my 18th year, I came to Kl for further study in Utar. I remembered got a friend ask me that question.."Are Sabahan live on the tree?" Why? Why only said Sabahan live on tree but didn't ask are Sarawakan live on tree? On that time, i know that what images of my state bring to my friend compare to neighbour state.

Most of my friends said me like a big boss(because of my body size)..so that i was called "Boss" during my secondary school..Even my teachers and principal also knew that there was a student called "Boss". Luckily I came to Kl and no more people called it. hehe....

Erm..i don't have any specify hobbies, but if really want me to list out at least one...maybe watch movie and internet surfing. Sometimes it's quite boring but i really can't find out what i more interesting things to do..maybe call out my friends to have a tea or play mahjong at night. I am a pro master in mahjong. Play mahjong not only depends on luck but also your skills, it needs your knowledge and intelligence. So play mahjong is quite a healthy activities but don't play too much.

When i am free, mostly will surf internet and the most websites i visited are
www.utar.edu.my
I like to visit Facebook and friendster because all my friends' networks are here and i can get the latest news of them through these website. Furthermore, i also can make some new friends through these 2 websites. Sometimes, i would go to newspaper website like Chinapress.com and Berita Harian website to see the Malaysia news and international news. Because don't want waste money to buy newspaper and I can get free English newspaper every morning at Utar there. But sometimes also will buy when i was lazy to surf internet. When doing assignments, most of my time will sit in front of computer and search info from the net. Its was the difficult time to pass because have to look all info that maybe useful. While sometimes i will also go to search movies and dramas to download it.

Finally, i think i wrote more than 700 words already and i would stop here first for my intro. Next time i post, will be all related to the assignment works. Haha.
